Who Should Attend:
Certified Secondary Teachers.
Trainer certification:
Train your students and implement the paxUnited Course in your school. All curriculum materials are included—training manual, orientation video, and a site license to reproduce 25 student workbooks.
Peer mediation works!
· Improve TAKS scores.
· Decrease discipline referrals, violence, alternative education placements, suspensions, and expulsions.
Lead Trainer: Debbie Womack, paxUnited Deputy Director
Ms. Womack is a seasoned trainer with over ten years in the field of prevention. Her experience includes peer mediation, developmental assets, character education, True Colors®, life skills, and PAL™ (Peer Assistance and Leadership). Womack has written several curricula related to drug and violence prevention and mediation.
Cost:
This training is underwritten by a grant from the Criminal Justice Division of the Governor’s office. Training fees are waived.
Materials costs include a Teacher Manual & Video Set and a site license for first year student workbooks. Cost is $350.00.
