Learn How
To:
- Gain the
support of campus or agency administration
- Design a
program to meet youth/student needs
- Select a
program coordinator and coordination team
- Enlist
the support of agency staff or school personnel
- Inform all
youth/students of the programs goals/availability
- Select
youth/students to be trained as peer mediators
- Purchase
a site license to duplicate peer mediator workbooks
- Train the
peer mediators
- Maintain
a quality program
Each participant
receives:
1. Three
consecutive days of Peers Making Peace training, our researchbased
peer mediation curriculum
2. One sample
student workbook (for elementary, junior high or high school)
3. Certificate
of completion
Note: A
video and age-level specified manual necessary for training students are
available through paxUnited at a cost of $125.00 if ordered for delivery
at the training. (If ordered later, the cost will increase to reflect
shipping and handling.)
Program development
assistance and support services are available to certified participants
who initiate a program and comply with paxUnited's data collection requirements
for evaluation purposes.

CEUs: 21
credit hours available from Galveston College. All travel costs are the
responsibility of the training participant.
